Stories from Suvivors

Together we stand stronger, fight fiercer, and above all, we empathize and understand.

I was trafficked in Houston and saved about a year ago. I needed someone to talk to and I have heard about OEW. I saw her on Facebook and I wasn’t sure if it was her so I took a chance, I was so happy when I heard her voice. As we talk for hours, I felt alive and I knew it was going to be alright, we prayed and we both cried. She told me that she was going to do everything in her power to make a difference.

I am from Houston, I was beaten by my live-in boyfriend and everyone was just sending me prayer hands. I needed someone to talk to, I was about to jump off the balcony I was so tired of trying and fighting after coming home from the hospital from a broken arm and busies all over my body. She messages me through messenger. I wanted someone to listen to me and she did for hours and hours.

I am from New York, I am paralyzed by my boyfriend shot me. I wanted to talk to someone and I called Maria. I met her through a facebook friend. She understood my pain, she told me about her mom a story that touched me so much. Her mother was beaten on a daily based. Someday I wish to meet her someday. I am going through stem testing to walk someday.
